What is a Labradoodle?
A Labradoodle is a hybrid breed created by crossing a Labrador Retriever with a Poodle. First developed in Australia in 1989 by Wally Conron for Guide Dogs Victoria, the Labradoodle was designed to be a hypoallergenic guide dog. Today it is one of the world’s most popular family breeds.
Labradoodles combine the Labrador’s sunny, loyal temperament with the Poodle’s intelligence and low-shedding coat. They are larger than Goldendoodles on average and need more daily exercise.
How much does a Labradoodle cost in India?

Labradoodle temperament
Labradoodles are known for their gentle, enthusiastic, and highly social nature. They were designed for therapeutic and guidance work, so they are exceptionally calm under pressure and patient with people of all ages.
- Highly energetic — needs 45–60 min of daily exercise
- People-oriented — does not do well left alone for long hours
- Trainable — excel at obedience, agility, and therapy roles
- Friendly with strangers — not a guard dog temperament
Labradoodles love water and can handle India's humid coastal weather well. Their athletic build means they need at least 45 minutes of exercise daily — morning walks before peak heat are recommended.
